Q&A
Answers to common questions
How much does it cost to build a house? By far the most common and complicated question but on average it cost any where from $250 - $350 per square foot. This is only for the house from basic site work through completion. This does not include garages, decks, septic system, well or land clearing. In general smaller homes are more expensive per sf. Finishes can increase these cost greatly. This range is meant to cover a mid grade build.
Do you use a square foot number to price my build? We do not. While we do give a per square foot number upfront that is only for budget and conversation purposes. Those averages are based on historic build prices. We price every build individually.
Do you break down your pricing? Yes we provide line item pricing. Building a home needs to be a transparent process for all involved.
Can we do some of the work ourselves? We try to be as flexible as possible as we understand people have a budget they need to make work. While we prefer to do the whole build we do allow people to do some their own work.
How long does it take to build a home? This can vary depending on size and site conditions but it's any where from 6 months to one year.
Is a modular home home cheaper than a stick built house? This is also a common question or even a misconception and generally modular is not cheaper, it's usually more money when doing a full turn key build. Modular can be a good option if you need a home quicker or if you're going to act as your home General Contractor.

Are your prices negotiable? No they are not. Our projects are priced at the best possible price upfront. Home building is already a low margin industry. On occasion we may offer a set discount on a new build.
Do you work with all budgets? We can work with any budget (Usually) but that often means you having to make adjustments to your plans and often the size of your build.
Do you only build new homes? No we also build additions and do full home renovations.
